These crystals are from the “Leopard Pocket” in Gwinnett County, Georgia at the Barrett Mine. Called “ghost quartz” because of their ethereal glow when backlit.

The Local Gem: December 2015

This month's stone story comes from Nicky of Northwest Canada.  After learning about how we pair people with stones, Nicky contacted us. When we initially spoke on the phone a sweet, optically clear Bolivian calcite spoke up, and then the tone changed and it became very clear that something much bigger was happening. When I cam home I discovered that the stone buddy responding to her was a phenomenal & flawless Labradorite Lingam. She immediately responded with an enthusiastic and yet reverent "Yes".

It is important to mention that a year ago, Nicky was diagnosed with breast cancer and as a result had a mastectomy. After this, she opted to use only natural therapies and embraced her cancer journey with a totally open and willing heart. She refers to all of these gifts, including this Labradorite gem, as "another gift of her cancer." She is truly a wise & inspiring person on an Inspired path to regain health and redefine Life, in the midst of receiving a "catastrophic diagnosis".

So, with great care, we shipped the Labradorite Lingam to her. Despite double-boxing & extensive bubble wrap, Nicky reported that the stone arrived "damaged". I was rather shocked and YET know nothing is ever random with the mineral kingdom.  I share this story with you, because of Nicky's deep desire to share the hope and inspiration that has come from her journey.  Below is how the story unfolded between she & I and she & the lingam.

Nicky, Your absolutely right, it isn’t supposed to be there.  The stone had absolutely no problems when we released it to the USPS for shipping...
I don’t know if this makes you sad or not.  How are you?
What I can tell you from my own experience is that nothing is ever random with stones.  I can share the only other story I know that relates to this type of thing.  Several years ago a man purchased the MOST amazing stone sculpture I have ever seen.  He then had it shipped to his home on the east coast and it arrived in pieces.  What he realized as he listened to the stone and his spirit was that the stone “took the hit for him.” Since he was sacrificing himself in ways in his life that would otherwise possibly lead to a much worse tragedy.  I don’t know if this story resonates with you or not.  Go and speak to the stone.  You said you know you have been speaking to it all this time.  Ask it what the benefit of this situation is to your journey.  Was it expressing something about your experience that is going under-expressed?  Does this matter to your overall relationship with the stone?  How should you both proceed?

Hi Cari,
I am on page with you. Because this is all new to me sometimes I question what I already know. I am learning to listen. Sometimes the messages that I hear take some time to make sense.

The stone said to me, Look at this flaw. Do you love me less even though there are parts of me missing. Do you love me less because a piece of me is exposed? Am I compromised and vulnerable or powerful and loving? She said that she knows her power is just as strong with or without this piece missing. It does not affect her negatively. She is also clearly telling me to look deeply inside and see and feel the raw emotion that is so close to the surface for me.  The raw unpolishedspot on me is how you see yourself. She also tells me to put my fingers and or hand over this spot and feel the energy between us. Protect her, cradle her. This is no mistake.

Hi Cari,

I wanted to share results from yesterday’s session: By last night, the pain that I had in my back – which when lifting my left arm or bending or twisting had been enough to almost bring me to my knees, was gone.  The pain in my neck is also gone – ‘ the blackness behind and above my head’. Yesterday’s session truly made a difference in my life. Last night I finally realized the power and strength of the mind and the expanding of heart over matter, the power of meditation and truly trusting what I hear, what I feel in my heart, trusting in what I do know and embracing it all. Monthly Stone Story

Courtney shared with us this experience the morning after attending our second Stone Buddies 101 class last month. She refers to our conversation about the size of our Container– or energy field– and how we can consciously identify where we are in a given moment and then make a clear choice about how to proceed. The universe/God is talking to us all the time. The natural world is full of cues meant to guide us back toward the Truth of who we are. Here is Courtney's Experience:

I am excited to share this with you! I'm staying with my parents for a few days in OHIO and this morning have a doctor appointment with my chiropractor. My dad is new to holistic medicine and this morning I was teaching him the importance of taking control of his health (with much frustration!). I left, annoyed, with my 'container' very small.

Wouldn't you know!!! I was in Cincinnati traffic and the car in front of me had a MN license plate with Lake Superior on the plate. I IMMEDIATELY HAD A JOLT of Joy come over me and I felt a huge shift take place!!! It read 'KUE' on the plate, so I searched for a meaning, I knew and trusted the moment and this is what it read. I wanted to shout with excitement!!!

What Does Name "Kue" Mean:

EXTREMES in health and spirituality. You are very versatile, idealistic and intuitive. You either enjoy great success or suffer abject misery. The solution is service to others. Use your leadership abilities for humanity and not for self-glorification.Emergencies may raise your intuitive abilities in order to resolve conflict or situation. You become very creative under the pressure, and have quite original ideas to make the best out of it!

What a difference that I recognized!!!! Soo excited to continue this healing journey!!!

The Local Gem: March/April 2015

It is the season of Spring at the Happy Crystal Shop. We are expanding our jewelry section by offering beautifully wrapped stones in sterling silver, while we are putting away the stones from the Tuscon Gem Show, and beginning to plant and tend the flowers of the Peace Garden around Grandfather. Many of you have started to interact with us more closely, either through the webinars (next one two weeks from today!), through ordering custom pendulums, or requesting a visit or a listening with me. Everything is so dynamic and ever changing this time of year. We celebrate spring and we welcome you here any time.

The stone story I share with you this month is about Lilac, the cat. Lilac's story is depicted below in photos. She found her mama's stones of polished Jet tumbles from Mongolia and this gorgeous piece of Argentinian blue Calcite in a pile on the carpet. While her mama worked on the computer nearby, she spread the stones from their pile and arranged them in perfect symmetry. (There is even a stone hiding underneath the right chair leg!).

When this story was shared with me, I was in one way totally amazed, and in another way not at all surprised. Animals are so intimately aligned with the rhythms and cycles of nature. They naturally gravitate toward expressing this alignment. This stone story is a perfect illustration and a great reminder to us all to listen to our four-legged friends (or if you're like us, our winged friends). I hope you enjoy your life with stones, and I hope you'll stay in touch.

The recent 2015 Gem & Mineral Show inspired the launch of “The Local Gem”, a message to you from us at The Happy Crystal Shop in Two Harbors, MN.

I am Cari Wright. I am the proprietor of The Happy Crystal Shop and the Peace Across the Planet Intent holder for Grandfather, the 9-foot and 4,400 pounds of wonder, in the form of a giant Shiva Lingam planted here. If you haven’t met him, you want to!

I have also been in the healing arts for nearly 2 decades. We just finished the construction of my new health studio after I completed the International College of Bioenergetic Medicine in Atlanta last year and earning my HHP. I have great success using my listening skills as a medical intuitive coupled with a wide range of effective, holistic health therapies. The new website cari and i. com will be launched soon with plenty of details. Also, I have a wonderful new administrative assistant named Molly. She is a joy and a whiz and we are very grateful for her contribution in all of this.

In each edition of The Local Gem, we will share with you the story of a stone and the humans touched. It is my sincere desire that you find nourishment and real substance in the community of The Local Gem and The Happy Crystal Shop. The Happy Crystal Shop came to be in 2008 as a single table in my basement with a lamp and a table cloth. I’ve never advertised, and in spite of this, we have grown to reside with over 3,000 stone buddies whom are finding homes across North America. It is my joy to share the offerings of these precious pieces of Creation.

The Intent of “The Local Gem” is to reach out and extend a warm invitation to connect and interact more directly with you. I am a stone listener and know first-hand how an active, conscious interaction with stones and all aspects of the natural word, can deeply enhance health, spiritual life, and sense of well-being. I will be leading on-line, live webinar classes too, starting in

March. For those of you whom have never done this, don’t worry! The process is just a few clicks and we will be together. I will have support on hand in case you get stuck (Molly). For details see pink box below labeled: “Upcoming Webinar Series”.
They say, that the stones are the bones of the earth, and that our human bones share a similar composition. This is so

sacred to me and it is important. What child doesn’t love stones? What adult as a child didn't love stones? Why is this? What wisdom guides this whimsical pursuit? Stones are a consistent vibrational signature created by the God of your understanding to remind you of the truth. Stones are universal in their meaning and in their ability to support our growth, our joy and our thriving. It is my greatest joy to share this miracle with you.

I remember a conversation I once had with my mother who does not share my intuition or understanding of stones. But I said to her, “Mom, if you can listen to stones, you can listen to Life.” She seemed to understand what I meant.
